Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori swore in members of the newly appointed caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar’s cabinet on Saturday.
The ceremony began with the recital of the Holy Quran at Karachi’s Governor House, which was also attended by caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Sindh announced a 10-member cabinet, noting that Governor Sindh appointed provincial ministers at the suggestion of the caretaker CM.
Dr Saad Khalid Niaz, Ms. Rana Hussain, Dr Junaid Shah, Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz, Mubeen Jatori and Younus Dagha, Ishwar Lal, Arshad Wali Muhammad, Omar Soomoro, and Khuda Bux Marri are among the caretaker Sindh cabinet members.
A day earlier, it was announced that Sindh Caretaker CM Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar had completed consultations and shortlisted nominees for the interim provincial cabinet’s first round.
According to sources, the caretaker Sindh government has finalised the names of academicians, notable doctors, eminent surgeons, economists, and security specialists for the caretaker provincial cabinet.
According to sources, the interim cabinet would work impartially and in the best interests of the people of the province. According to sources, the educational and professional qualifications of the shortlisted candidates were given special consideration.
