General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of the United States Central Command (US CENTCOM), met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir on Monday, according to the military’s media affairs department.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, General Asim Munir met with Pakistan’s top general to discuss common interests, regional security, and defence cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.
According to the ISPR, the visiting dignitary praised and welcomed Pakistan Army’s victories in the battle against terrorism, as well as Islamabad’s ongoing efforts to bring peace and security to the region.
