The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has recently approved Rs. 30 billion for a safe city project under which about 10,000 CCTV cameras would be installed in the city of Karachi. However, the plan is to executed in three phases and for that each phase will be completed within a timeframe of 12 months starting from the next financial year of 2021-2022.
The CM announced this in a meeting on Friday while, reviewing the progress of this Safe City Project. According to the reports as it has been highlighted that NRTC has submitted the technical as well as the financial proposals which needs to be evaluated by the evaluation committee.
Moreover, the CM approved the constitution of the nine-member technical committee that works under the CEO of the safe city project in order to evaluate the proposal of NRTC.
