China’s electric vehicle (EV) giant, BYD, is entering the Pakistani market through a partnership with the local company Mega Conglomerate Private Limited.
According to a report an agreement was signed during the BYD Asia Pacific dealer conference in Xi’an, China, by Liu Xueliang and Zhang Jie from BYD, and Mega’s Aly Khan.
Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, expressed the goal of introducing cutting-edge green vehicle solutions to Pakistani consumers and revolutionizing the country’s automotive industry.
Aly Khan stated that the agreement would serve as a catalyst for widespread EV adoption in Pakistan and promote sustainable mobility.
The agreement includes plans to establish three flagship BYD showrooms in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad in 2024. These showrooms will not only showcase BYD’s advanced new energy vehicle technology but also offer customers a seamless retail experience and enable direct orders.
It is worth mentioning that electric vehicles have already made their way onto the roads in Pakistan.
