On a Saturday ceremony held in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu province, a Chinese company officially delivered 160 high-end pure electric buses to Pakistan, marking a significant milestone as the country introduces a large fleet of electric buses for the first time.
The order’s value exceeds RMB 150 million, and the event was attended by various Pakistani officials, including General Manager Suzhou Higer, Qiu Yuanhong, Deputy General Manager Xie Jianghong, Customer Service Director Jiang Haifeng, and General Manager of Overseas Sales.
During the ceremony, the Pakistani officials expressed high praise for the batch of buses, which had been tested the day before and performed exceptionally well in terms of appearance, performance, and other aspects.
Higer, the Chinese company, has been a prominent player in the Pakistani market since 2006, continually innovating and customizing high-quality buses to address local challenges such as dusty and congested road conditions.
The newly exported pure electric buses boast advantages such as zero emissions, low operating costs, and minimal noise pollution. These features are expected to significantly enhance the efficiency of public transportation operations and improve the overall quality of residents’ travel experiences.
Notably, the buses have a cruising range exceeding 250 kilometers and utilize advanced cathodic electrophoresis technology, providing a corrosion-resistant period of over ten years.
In terms of software intelligence, the 160 pure electric buses are equipped with the T-BOX intelligent operation system, enabling real-time monitoring of driver behavior and vehicle operation data to ensure operational safety and enhance passenger travel protection.
This development is considered a substantial contribution to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). As integral components of these initiatives, the transportation sector is expected to undergo further efficient and green reforms in the future.
The arrival of the 160 electric buses in Pakistan marks a new beginning, fostering the high-quality development of CPEC and BRI in the realm of public transportation.
