Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Zhu Zhaojiang, Chairman of Chinese firm Transsion Holdings, during his official visit to China. Zhu expressed his company’s interest in increasing investment in Pakistan, particularly in mobile phone manufacturing, electric bikes, modern agriculture, and Fintech sectors.
The Prime Minister welcomed the interest and urged relevant ministers and the Pakistani Ambassador to China to develop a strategy to facilitate the investment. He assured that the government is committed to providing all necessary support to foreign investors and businessmen.
PM Shehbaz also invited Transsion Holdings to manufacture goods in Pakistan for export, highlighting the country’s abundant resources and young workforce. Zhu briefed the Prime Minister on his company’s current operations in Pakistan, global exports, and future plans to expand investment in the country.
