The civil judge’s wife was arrested shortly after the court denied bail in the Rizwana torture case.
The suspect, Somia Asim, arrived in court, accompanied by her counsel, before Additional Sessions Judge Farukh Farid. Judge Farukh Farid questioned the case against the accused throughout the hearing.
Somia Asim had appeared before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and declared her innocence, according to the suspect’s lawyer. According to the police report, Somia Asim did not commit any acts of aggression.
According to the accused’s counsel, Somia Asim constantly requested that the maid be returned. She explained that the young child, who is unable to get up at this time, had been waiting for the bus for more than two hours.
According to the accused’s counsel, Somia Asim returned the young daughter to her mother in good health. He proposed waiting until dusk when the FIA’s inquiry would be completed.
“We demand that the video be obtained in court,” said the lawyer.
The lawyer requested that the three-hour video of the juvenile girl sitting at the bus stop be made available, as the video’s data will expire tomorrow.
The court directed the investigating officer to gather the footage as evidence after hearing the suspect’s lawyer’s position.
