During a meeting held in Lahore today, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the establishment of a new department dedicated to anti-narcotics efforts and the construction of three police stations focused on drug control.
She emphasized the importance of expanding the tax net to encompass more individuals and businesses, and instructed the creation of a tax consultancy unit for this purpose. Additionally, she emphasized the need to expedite the registration process for motor vehicle plates.
The meeting also included plans for the establishment of thirteen excise check posts to curb smuggling and drug trafficking. Furthermore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the formulation of a comprehensive policy aimed at exporting buffalo milk and meat to China.
She emphasized the necessity of allowing only vaccinated and tagged cattle into cattle markets and slaughterhouses, and stressed the need for a disease control compartment in Punjab. Additionally, she called for the implementation of new mechanisms to boost the export of dairy products.
