Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has announced substantial decrease in price of flour with a subsidy of around 200 billion rupees besides ensuring availability of free medicines to cancer and other patients in hospitals across the province.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said the incumbent government is well aware of problems being faced by the common man and would made the 10-kg flour bag available from today at a price of 490 rupees than previous price of 650 rupees.
The Chief Minister said that a relief package to provide subsidized sugar is also being considered and would be announced soon.
He said that price control committees had been set up in all districts of the province to ensure provision of edibles at fixed rates.
