General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), is currently on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan to strengthen military-to-military cooperation and defense collaboration between the two friendly nations.
During his visit, COAS Asim Munir held meetings with various high-ranking officials, including President Ilham Aliyev, the Defense Minister, the 1st Deputy Minister, and the Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force. The discussions primarily focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of defense and training.
General Munir praised the Azerbaijani Armed Forces for their high morale and impressive operational readiness. The political and military leadership of Azerbaijan expressed their gratitude for Pakistan’s ongoing support and pledged to elevate mutual cooperation between the two countries and their armed forces to a new level.
During his visit to the General Staff Headquarters, General Munir was warmly received and honored with a Guard of Honour. He also paid his respects by laying a floral wreath at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
