Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and COAS Gen. Asim Munir vowed to increase defense cooperation between the two countries.
He was speaking with General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, when he paid him a visit on his official tour to the Kingdom, according to the Pakistan Army’s media arm.
Salman, the Crown Prince, has stated that he wants to improve the two countries’ bilateral ties further.
According to Mohammad Bin Salman, Pakistan would always have Pakistan’s back in the future as well, according to ISPR.
He emphasized the longstanding and strong fraternal relations between KSA and Pakistan, noting that both nations have consistently supported each other.
During the visit, the Army Chief convened meetings with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chief of General Staff Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al Ruwaili, Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Otaibi, and other high-ranking military officials.
Discussions encompassed a wide array of topics of mutual interest, including regional peace and security, as well as bilateral defense and security cooperation. Expressing gratitude, the Army Chief extended thanks to the Saudi leadership for their warm sentiments and unwavering support for Pakistan.
In a separate development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a congratulatory telephone call from Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince. Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed appreciation to the Saudi crown prince for the telephone call and the warm message of greetings extended immediately after assuming office.
