Deputy Commissioner (DC) Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas, announced on Tuesday that the Punjab caretaker government, in coordination with the Pakistan Meteorological Department, has issued a travel advisory for tourists due to the predicted snowfall.
A comprehensive plan has been prepared, including the establishment of 13 facilitation centers, to manage visitors during the snowfall.
The DC assured that all necessary arrangements, such as petrol and meals, have been made at these centers to ensure the well-being of tourists.
The Punjab government, along with private hotel associations, has arranged free parking spaces, and efforts are underway to identify additional parking areas.
Digital monitoring of vehicles entering the city is being conducted, and tourists are advised to check the updated website for the latest information on weather, traffic conditions, hotels, and other essential updates before traveling to Murree.
Additionally, tourists are urged to follow safety guidelines, maintain their vehicles, and contact traffic police in case of any challenges or emergencies.
