The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming men’s 2024-25 home international cricket season, featuring a series against Bangladesh. The season will kick off with Bangladesh playing two Tests in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, followed by another Test in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
Bangladesh’s last Test in Pakistan was back in February 2020. Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Chief Executive of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, expressed gratitude to the PCB for finalizing the schedule for their ICC World Test Championship matches. He emphasized the significance of this series as a test of Bangladesh’s progress in the format.
Captain of the Bangladesh men’s cricket team, Najmul Hossain Shanto, shared his anticipation about returning to Pakistan for the ICC World Test Championship. He acknowledged the challenges and excitement of playing in Pakistan, highlighting the team’s readiness to compete against the strong home side on their turf.
