Finance Minister Ishaq Dar praised the interest of Pakistani-American tech entrepreneurs in strengthening Pakistan’s IT sector during a virtual session today.
The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Dar, and Ayaz Sadiq held virtually meeting with well-known Pakistani-American IT/Tech entrepreneurs. Along with other representatives from Pakistan, they were accompanied by the MOS for Finance and Revenue, Aisha Ghaus Pasha, the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Jameel Ahmed, and the Ambassador, Masood Khan.
According to the finance minister, the government’s first objective is to stabilize Pakistan’s economy. In order to accomplish this goal and set Pakistan on the path to economic recovery, the administration made some difficult decisions in recent months. The devastating floods had made matters worse, but the government was optimistic that by implementing wise policies, the difficulties facing Pakistan’s economy would be resolved.
The Pakistani-American IT entrepreneurs’ interest in developing Pakistan’s IT sector was acknowledged by the finance minister. He emphasized the enormous growth potential of this industry and how it could significantly strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
