The Government Postgraduate College in Timergara has recently issued directives to its female students, advising them against participating in political gatherings, birthday celebrations, and other extracurricular activities while commuting to and from the campus. These instructions were issued by the college’s chief proctor, Prof Riaz Mohammad, and were circulated to students recently.

Additionally, Prof Riaz Mohammad urged the parents of the female students to maintain communication with the college administration to facilitate improvements in academic standards.

When asked about the rationale behind these directives, Prof Riaz Mohammad defended the decision, stating that it was made in the best interest of the female students and was in accordance with local customs. He cited reports of unpleasant incidents in other co-educational colleges as the basis for this initiative.

Meanwhile, a function was organized at the Government High School in Adam Dherai, Adenzai area, to honor the retirement of teacher Syedul Ibrar. During the event, speakers including former district education officer Saeed Khan, principals Ayaz Khan and Bahadar Zeb, former principal Gul Rehman, Dr. Ihteshamul Haq, poet Jehan Bakht Jehan, and Qari Tahseenullah Qadri highlighted the significance of teachers in society. They commended the dedicated service of Syedul Ibrar, who was recognized for his unwavering commitment to his duties. Teachers, students, and friends also presented gifts to Syedul Ibrar as a token of appreciation for his contributions.
