Verbal altercation between officer and woman on the motorway

In a recent turn of events, a video capturing heated argument between a motorway police officer and a female passenger has gone viral. The incident happened on the Rawalpindi Motorway on 2nd May.

Officer taking video footage of the woman.

The woman was allegedly over speeding/overtaking and ignoring ‘stop signs’ initially. Then, finally after being stopped, instead of showing guilt and facing the delegated consequences, she began abusing and threatening the officer who was dealing. In response to this verbal abuse, the officer began recording the woman’s behavior to secure as evidence. However, this further escalated the situation as she counteracted by recording the officer instead.

Both sides accuse each other of wrongdoing with an attempt to collect video evidence. The woman even claimed of being robbed of her mobile phone and getting bruises on her hand. The videos however only confirm that there was intense debate and verbal abuse on both sides. The police is now resorting to legal action against the women involved.

Hit and run case

This recent occurrence is not the first time that there is dissension between a female passenger and a police officer. Parallel to this report, a “Hit and run” case where a female driver hit a cop on the motorway surfaced a week ago. Dramatic legal action was taken by the police in this scenario. The suspect was arrested, and her vehicle was seized.

After rigorous and lengthy investigation, the court declared how the woman had essentially “disrespected the state” because these “officers embody the state itself”. However, regardless of these assertive remarks, the police remained silent for 112 days. After this postponement, prompt action was motivated when the video of this incident went viral. This video captures a female driver who is stopped by motorway police officers for over speeding and asked to bear repercussions: pay fine and present documents. Initially she responds in a decent manner but then suddenly becomes aggressive while claiming she does not have the money. She then proceeds to run over the barrier of motorway toll plaza and the officer standing next to it.
