Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Islamabad on Monday for a 15-day visit to Pakistan. He was welcomed at Islamabad International Airport by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including Syed Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Rana Mashood, and Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Shamsher Ali Mazari.
The tour, which begins on October 5 in Karachi and concludes on October 20 in Islamabad, will feature Dr. Naik delivering lectures in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. His first lecture in Karachi, at Bagh-e-Quaid, will address the topic “The Purpose of Our Life.” On the following day, his son, Dr. Fariq Naik, will speak on the importance of understanding the Quran in a lecture titled “Kya Quran ko Samajh Kar Parhna Zaroori Hai?” (Is it Necessary to Understand the Quran While Reading?).
While the dates for the Lahore (October 12-13) and Islamabad (October 19-20) lectures have been confirmed, the specific topics and venues are yet to be revealed, heightening anticipation for the tour.
Dr. Naik’s visit comes after years of self-imposed exile due to controversies in India. Now based in Malaysia, he continues to deliver lectures globally. His son, Dr. Fariq Naik, will accompany him throughout the tour, sharing insights on various Islamic topics and fostering engagement with audiences.
