The election commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday notified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s victory in seven constituencies of the national assembly in by-polls.
According to details, the ECP announced the reserved decision in a case involving PTI leader Imran Khan’s failure to provide information on campaign expenditures for the by-elections.
The ECP agreed to the PTI’s request, excused Khan’s late submission of by-election expense information, and announced the PTI leader’s victory on seven seats in the national assembly.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan has previously had his win notification for six National Assembly (NA) seats delayed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
ECP Stays Imran Khan’s victory notification on 6 NA seats
The PTI leader’s victory was not announced because, according to the ECP, he had not yet filed the details of his election expenditures.
It is important to note that former prime minister and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Azam Khan, created history on Sunday by winning six seats in the National Assembly.
Unofficial results indicate that PTI leader Imran Khan has won by-elections in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Faisalabad, Karachi, and Nankana Sahib.
