The imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan cannot have further conversations with his sons, as per the Adiala jail superintendent’s response in a contempt case heard in a special court on Wednesday.
The PTI Chairman was incarcerated on August 5 due to his conviction in the Toshakhana case and was later transferred to Adiala Jail for a cipher case. The jailer’s response, submitted in the special court under the Official Secrets Act and presided over by Judge Abul Hasnat, explained that Imran Khan had been permitted to speak with his sons via a WhatsApp call on October 18, in accordance with the court’s orders.
However, further allowances cannot be granted as there are no established rules for such communications.
