The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has chosen to run in nine National Assembly (NA) constituencies in the upcoming by-elections.
According to sources within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the organization’s head, would run in each of the nine Karachi constituencies.
The choice was made shortly after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced the schedule for the by-elections to fill the 33 seats in the National Assembly (NA) that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNAs had left vacant.
According to details, the ECP has decided to hold by-polls on 33 NA seats on March 16, for which nomination papers can be received from February 6 to 8.
The ECP further stated that the nomination documents would be examined on February 9. The candidates will receive their election symbols on February 23.
The by-polls will be held in the following constituencies:
