EX PM Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Mualim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and three-time prime minister, will return home today after four years.
Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League, has taken a chartered airplane from Dubai to Pakistan.
According to the PML-N’s plan, Nawaz will arrive in Islamabad and then go to Lahore for today’s public gathering.
Speaking to reporters at Dubai International Airport, the PML-N leader stated that his party is capable of leading Pakistan out of its current crisis.
“We are competent enough to solve the problems of the country,” Nawaz stated in a press conference before departing from Dubai International Airport.
Nawaz Sharif said that things are a bit confusing in Pakistan right now. When asked about the upcoming elections, he mentioned that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is better equipped to decide on them.
Nawaz Sharif’s schedule
Nawaz Sharif’s Plan Nawaz Sharif’s plane left Dubai Airport at 8:45 am, and it will land in Islamabad at 12:30 pm. He’ll spend about an hour at the airport for legal discussions, then he’ll go to Lahore, where his party’s supporters will warmly welcome him.
In the evening, Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to speak at a public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan.
Arrangements finalised
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has arranged for planes to shower flowers in a welcoming gesture for Nawaz Sharif in Lahore. They’ve set up 40,000 seats at Greater Iqbal Park, where today’s public gathering will take place.
PML-N groups from Sindh, KP, Gilgit Baltistan, and Punjab are on their way to Lahore to join the rally.
