Cotton yarn exports from the country increased by 22.11 percent in the first ten months of this fiscal year compared to the same time the previous year.
According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics statistics, between July and April 2021-22, roughly 284,670 metric tons of cotton yarn worth $1.006 billion were exported, compared to 327,519 metric tons worth $832.952 million during the same time previous year.
Meanwhile, cotton fabric worth $2.00 billion was shipped in the final ten months of the current fiscal year, compared to $1.581 billion in the same time the previous year, according to the report.
Exports of yarn other than cotton yarn increased by 100 percent during the period under review, with 17,533 metric tons worth $54.016 million sent compared to 11,797 metric tons worth $26.997 million shipped during the same time previous year.
In the first ten months of this fiscal year, the country earned $4.218 billion by exporting 135,968 thousand dozens of knitwear, compared to $3.212 billion and 502,093 thousand dozens in the same time the previous year.
It is worth noting that textile group exports from the nation increased by 25.96 percent in the last ten months of the current fiscal year, reaching $15.981 billion, up from $12.688 billion the previous year.

The value of textile and garment exports from Pakistan increased by 25.96 per cent year-on-year in dollar terms in the first ten months of fiscal 2021-22. During the period, Pakistan earned $15.981 billion from textile and apparel exports, compared to exports of $12.688 billion in July-April 2020-21, according to data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
On month on monthly basis, textile exports recorded about 30.50pc growth as they stood at $1.739b in April 2022 as against $1.332b in the same month of last year.
