Former federal minister Faisal Vawda has urged the government to take action against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister after Afghan diplomats allegedly disrespected Pakistan’s national anthem.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vawda criticized the KP CM, accusing him of insulting the country for political gain. He also condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claiming that the party is causing division within the nation.
Vawda further called on the government to address the Afghan diplomats’ violation of diplomatic protocols and criticized the current administration, describing it as incompetent for not responding to the incident. “No condemnation or action has been taken; everyone is asleep,” he said.
A few days earlier, Vawda had also addressed PTI members, expressing concerns about their remarks regarding Maryam Nawaz. He warned that such statements could lead to deeper divisions, asking, “How can we stand with you if you talk about splitting the country?”
