The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a human trafficker in Gujranwala, Punjab. The trafficker had taken Rs 9.3 million from a couple, promising to send them to the United Kingdom (UK), but then went into hiding.
After the family reported the scam, the FIA tracked down the trafficker in Ayman Abad and arrested him. This follows the recent tragedy where 40 Pakistanis drowned in a boat accident off the coast of Greece, prompting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to order stricter actions against human traffickers.
