A joint delegation of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation is set to visit Pakistan next month to monitor the progress of the country’s football federation’s elections under its Normalisation Committee (NC).
Haroon Malik, chairman of the Pakistan Football Federation NC, made the announcement during a news conference held on Thursday at the Football House. The delegation will arrive on January 20 and stay for three days.
AFC and FIFA representatives will also meet with representatives of the Pakistan Sports Board, the Senate Standing Committee on Sports, and the Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination.
Haroon said the NC was yet to decide dates for the long-due PFF elections, claiming legal cases against the body were a hurdle. He said the ongoing club registration process was set to end on Dec 15 while club scrutiny was scheduled for next month.
