Finance Minister, Qatari counterpart discuss different avenues to enhance cooperation

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Minister of Finance, State of Qatar, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met in Doha and agreed to enhance cooperation in fields of science, technology, agriculture, education, trade, finance, and investment.

According to a news release from the finance ministry here on Tuesday, the meeting was also attended by Dr. Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan, the special assistant to the prime minister on government effectiveness, and E. Muhemmed Aejaz, the Pakistani ambassador to Qatar.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, met with H.E. Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, the state’s minister of finance, to discuss various topics of importance to both parties and ways to improve collaboration in the trade, financial, and investment sectors.

During the meeting, they discussed different areas of mutual interest. “They both agreed that both countries share historical and cordial relations, and Pakistan and Qatar can explore cooperation in the field of science and technology, agriculture, and education,” the statement added.

The finance minister congratulated his counterpart on the completion of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the time.

He invited him to visit Pakistan and informed him of the efforts being made in Pakistan to recover and rebuild after the devastating floods.
