According to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he paid for his own travel and accommodation on his trips abroad to lessen the financial strain on the government coffers.
When asked about the costs of his international trips, FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he is the only Pakistani foreign minister who pays for his travel expenses, including his tickets and hotel bills.
Even if I do, he claimed, it is within his authority as foreign minister. He clarified that he is the foreign minister and not the interior minister. Bilawal claimed that the Pakistani people gain from his travels abroad.
According to the foreign minister, Pakistan’s efforts allowed it to be removed from the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) “grey list,” and his international travels also helped Pakistan’s economy.
He claimed that Pakistan’s leadership of the G77, an alliance of poor nations, is a significant achievement for the country. People should examine the G77 reforms’ records, he advised.
FM Bilawal said that the developing nations demanded that financial institutions give priority to the poor countries instead of the rich countries.
