FIFA IDs, a global ID recognized by FIFA MAs, have been handed to football clubs, academies, and teams for the first time in Pakistani history. Registered users will start getting activation emails starting tomorrow (Saturday), giving them access to finish the registration process and enter the club, team, and player information. To hold free and fair elections, this is a necessary first step.
Haroon Malik, the chairman of the Normalization Committee, and NC member Saud Hashmi spoke at a press conference held at Pakistan Football Headquarters. They said: “When the series of data compilation of clubs, academies, coaches, and officials were started through the Pakistan Football Connect program, it got a great response.
Through information obtained from the special office created in Karachi, thousands of stakeholders submitted applications. From tomorrow, the clubs will have access to the ID portal when the data has been verified.
The registered club will have recognition not only in the organized system of football in Pakistan but also at the international level. “I am glad that the NC got the opportunity to take this historic step in its tenure, moving swiftly towards the PFF elections as per its mandate. Through this, the registration of clubs on merit will help make the whole process transparent,” he added.
“With the registration of almost 3,500 clubs, the globe will have an understanding of the popularity and genuine structure of football in Pakistan,” stated NC member Saud Hashmi. Anywhere in the world has access to the clubs’ data, not only in Pakistan.
“Pakistan Football Connect Program is a real revolution to ‘nurture the club culture in Pakistan,” remarked NC member Shahid Niaz Khokhar.
No initiative, regardless of the field, can be effective without transparent record-keeping. Nothing will be left unclear after the Pakistan Football Connect Program is finished, and the initiative will have significant effects on Pakistan Football.
