Former England footballer, Michael Owen arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday. To participate in several football-related initiatives and meet with high-ranking officials.
Furthermore, Owen will be attending a dinner hosted by President Dr Arif Alvi. He will also be meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa, the state broadcaster said. According to the press release issued by GSV, Owen will also meet Prime Minister Imran Khan.
PTV Sports welcomed Michael Owen to Islamabad, in a tweet stating he will work with Global Soccer Ventures (GSV) to inaugurate international football in the country.
Moreover, Owen had a bright career playing for Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. He will also lay the foundation stone for a football stadium in Karachi and demonstrate a strategy to revitalize football in Pakistan.
