Israeli forces conducted thorough searches, building by building, at Gaza’s primary hospital, Al-Shifa, raising concerns for the safety of Palestinian civilians amid a communication blackout on Friday.
The intensified Israeli air and ground operations in Gaza have reportedly resulted in the tragic loss of over 11,500 Palestinian lives, including numerous children, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
Al-Shifa hospital, located in northern Gaza, has been a focus of Israeli operations since soldiers entered the complex on Wednesday in search of a Hamas command center, an allegation strongly denied by both Hamas and hospital management.
Despite days of searching, no evidence of military activity has been found at the hospital. International worry persists for the thousands of individuals, including injured patients and premature infants, believed to be trapped within the facility.
