Over the past two weeks, health officials report that nearly 5,100 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip. This surge in casualties resulted from Israel’s extensive bombing campaign, initiated in response to an attack by Hamas within Israel.
The Gaza Ministry of Health has stated that approximately 40 percent of the total casualties, amounting to 5,087 people, are children. On the same day, Israel’s military declared conducting over 300 new air attacks within a 24-hour period, which Palestinian officials say led to the death of more than 400 individuals.
In the region, where it has been under siege and suffered severe shortages of water, food, and essential provisions, numerous structures have been razed, leading to the displacement of over a million individuals.
