Gilgit-Baltistan’s Chief Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani stated on Friday that the region’s whole population would soon benefit from the “School Meals” program that the government of Gilgit-Baltistan had launched with the assistance of the private sector.
The program was urgently needed because the majority of the population in the nation belonged to the middle class, and it was challenging for them to make ends meet.
According to a news release, he explained that the GB government has launched this scheme to assist people in reducing their financial load.
According to him, the school food program had been expanded to include special education schools, ensuring that students with disabilities receive a balanced meal and enhancing their health.
He emphasized the program’s benefits and said it was created to fulfill the nutritional demands of school-aged children and ensure that they were healthy enough to engage in everyday activities.
He stated that feeding schoolchildren will encourage parents to enroll their kids in classes.
