Misinformation and propaganda, according to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, are a threat to the state’s integrity.
To successfully counter speculations and rumors, he argued, a prompt and coordinated reaction was required.
During his visit to the Lahore Garrison on Sunday, General Bajwa spoke with garrison commanders and veterans in two different interactive sessions, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He stated that the army takes its power from the people and that any attempt to drive a wedge between the army and the Pakistani people will be rejected. The hostile forces have been doing this for a long time, but he believes they will fail, Insha Allah.
He praised Lahore Police for maintaining high operational readiness and training standards.
Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz, the Corps Commander, welcomed him.
Major Haris was assaulted and injured by the security guards of a PML-N MPA, and the army chief paid a visit to the Combined Military Hospital Lahore to ask about his well-being.
He stated that the law would be followed and that the perpetrators, who are now in custody, will be brought to justice. No one, he continued, should be able to take the law into their own hands.
