Gold prices dropped for the second straight day in the last two business weeks, as the rupee strengthened marginally against the US dollar in the interbank market on Tuesday.
According to figures from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of a tola of gold fell by Rs200 to Rs220,500, while the price of a gram of 24-carat gold fell by Rs171 to Rs189,043.
The price of gold in the international market remained stable at $1,951 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver remained unchanged at Rs2,650 and Rs2,271.94, respectively.
