Gold continues to shine in Pakistan as per the tola price hit an all-time high of Rs182,700 in the local market.
All Pakistan Jewellers Manufacturers Association (APJMA) reports that the price of gold per tola increased by Rs4,500 to reach an all-time high of Rs182,700.
This is the highest price of pure 24-karat in the history of Pakistan’s gold market.
Similarly to this, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal jumped by Rs3,858 to Rs156,636. Prices for gold increased by $12 to $1,810 per ounce on the world market.
Gold price in Pakistan reaches all-time high
In Pakistan, the price will rise by Rs21,500 per tola after December 1, 2022.
The Pakistani rupee, on the other hand, continued to lose ground against the US dollar in the interbank market.
According to the SBP, the local currency plunged by Re0.33 and closed at 226.45 against the greenback in the interbank market on Tuesday.
It is important to mention that the Pakistani rupee has been under pressure for a few weeks due to talks between Islamabad and the IMF over the ninth review of a $7 billion loan program.
