KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a record high on Saturday, driven by a surge in international markets. According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs2,500, reaching an unprecedented Rs260,200.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs2,144, closing at Rs 223,080.
On the global front, gold prices jumped by $46, settling at $2,507 per ounce.
Silver prices also saw gains in the domestic market. Per tola silver rose by Rs50 to Rs2,950, while 10 grams of silver increased by Rs42.86, reaching Rs2,529.14.
On Friday, gold experienced a slight recovery in Pakistan, with per tola prices rising by Rs300 to settle at Rs257,700, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs256, closing at Rs220,936.
