KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan extended their upward trajectory for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs300, pushing the per tola rate to Rs261,000.
Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs257, now standing at Rs223,765.
In the international market, gold prices remained stable at $2,512, while silver prices in the local market held firm at Rs2,950 per tola.
The latest price hike follows the previous peak recorded on July 18, after a significant surge during the two-day Ashura break.
