KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan have surged to a new all-time high, driven by an upward trend in international markets.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs1,700 per tola, reaching a historic Rs263,700. Similarly, the price of 10 grams increased by Rs1,457, settling at Rs226,080.
In the international market, the price of gold climbed by $20, with the new rate standing at $2,512 per ounce.
Despite the rise in gold prices, the price of silver remained unchanged, with one tola of silver steady at Rs2,950 and 10 grams priced at Rs2,529.14.
Just a day earlier, the price of 24-carat gold in Pakistan increased by Rs200 per tola, reaching Rs262,000, while the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs172 to Rs224,623.
