Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory for the fourth consecutive session on Saturday. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported a notable increase in the price of 24-karat gold per tola, which surged by Rs2,000, bringing it to Rs246,400.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold saw a rise of Rs1,740, reaching Rs211,247. This follows a previous uptick on Thursday, when the per tola price climbed by Rs944.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold remained stable at Rs193,644 on Saturday.
In the international market, gold prices also experienced gains on Friday. According to APGJSA, the global rate for gold stood at $2,388 per ounce, marking a $24 increase during the trading day.
Silver prices in the local market followed suit, with a significant rise of Rs50, bringing the price of 24-karat silver to Rs2,900 per tola.
Market analysts attribute the consistent rise in gold prices to several factors, including fluctuations in the international market, currency exchange rates, and prevailing economic conditions. This continued increase in gold prices is expected to influence investment decisions and consumer behavior in the coming days.
