KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan registered losses for the second consecutive session on Saturday, influenced by a decline in international market rates.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs1,000, settling at Rs250,000. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs857, reaching Rs214,335.
In the international market, the value of gold fell by $15, bringing the price to $2,400 per ounce. This downward trend in global gold prices has significantly impacted the domestic market.
Silver prices in Pakistan also experienced a decline. The per tola price of silver dropped by Rs70, closing at Rs2,920.
The domestic market saw a notable drop in gold prices on Friday, with the per tola price decreasing by Rs3,000 to Rs251,000. This came after the price had reached an all-time high of Rs254,400 on Thursday. The price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs2,572, landing at Rs215,192.
