The gold rate in Pakistan dropped for a second consecutive day on Wednesday, mirroring a decrease in international prices.
As reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 1,000 per tola, bringing it to Rs. 282,200. The price for 10 grams also dropped, down by Rs. 857 to Rs. 241,941.
This follows a Rs. 500 per tola decline on Tuesday, after an increase of Rs. 700 per tola on Monday. Gold had reached an all-time high of Rs. 287,900 per tola last month.
In the international market, gold was priced at $2,727 per ounce, reflecting a $10 decrease for the day, including a $20 premium.
