Gold prices in Pakistan soared on Tuesday, reflecting a sharp increase in international market rates.
In market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs3,600, reaching a new high of Rs273,500. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs3,086, settling at Rs234,482, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This increase follows a drop on Monday when gold prices fell by Rs2,500, closing at Rs269,900 per tola.
Globally, gold prices also surged, with rates climbing $36 during the day to $2,643 per ounce, as per APGJSA figures.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained unchanged at Rs3,250 per tola.
