KARACHI – Gold prices saw a significant rise in Pakistan’s domestic market on Saturday, following an upward trend in global prices.
According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs1,600, reaching Rs275,500 per tola. The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs1,372, settling at Rs236,197.
On the international market, gold saw an increase of $16, with the price per ounce trading at $2,656. Experts predict further hikes in the coming months, with expectations that the price could reach $2,700 per ounce by the end of the year.
The rise follows Friday’s increase, where the per tola price jumped by Rs2,700, reaching Rs273,900, while the 10-gram price rose by Rs2,315 to Rs234,825.
