KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan soared to unprecedented levels on Thursday, driven by increasing demand during the ongoing wedding season.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs700, reaching a new high of Rs277,900. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs600, settling at Rs238,254.
The upward trend was also mirrored in the international market, where the price of gold per ounce climbed by $7, reaching $2,682.
This latest increase comes on the heels of Wednesday’s significant hike when the per tola price jumped by Rs2,200 to settle at Rs277,200, while the 10-gram price surged by Rs1,886 to reach Rs237,654.
