Gold prices in Pakistan saw another rise on Saturday, following a significant increase on the previous day. The price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs900, reaching an all-time high of Rs281,800, compared to Rs280,900 on Friday.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs772, bringing it to Rs241,598, up from Rs240,826. The price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also rose, now standing at Rs221,465, compared to Rs220,758, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.
Silver prices also saw an upward trend. The price per tola of silver increased by Rs50, reaching Rs3,150, while 10 grams of silver rose by Rs42.87 to Rs2,700.62.
On the global front, gold prices in the international market increased by $9, rising to $2,721 from $2,612.
The upward trend follows a sharp increase on Friday, where the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs3,000, bringing it to Rs280,900. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a jump of Rs2,572, reaching Rs240,826. Silver prices had similarly increased, with per tola silver rising by Rs50 to Rs3,100, and 10-gram silver reaching Rs2,657.75.
The precious metals market continues to experience volatility, with rising global prices driving the increases in the local market.
