Gold prices soared to an all-time high in Pakistan on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs. 2,300 per tola. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the new rate for 24-karat gold is Rs. 264,000 per tola, setting a historic record.
The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold has risen to Rs. 226,337, up by Rs. 1,972, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold now costs Rs. 207,476. In the international market, gold prices also climbed by $23 to reach $2,524 per ounce.
Silver prices remained stable, with the per tola rate at Rs. 2,900 and the 10-gram rate at Rs. 2,486.28. The previous day had already seen a Rs. 1,300 increase in the per tola gold price in Pakistan.
Last month, the price of 24-karat gold briefly reached Rs. 263,700 before dropping. It is important to note that fluctuations in international gold prices directly impact local market rates in Pakistan.
