The price of gold in Pakistan dropped on Thursday, following a record high the previous day.
As reported by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the rate for 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 1,000 per tola, bringing it to Rs. 263,000. Similarly, the price for 10 grams fell by Rs. 857, settling at Rs. 225,480.
On Wednesday, gold surged by Rs. 2,300 per tola, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 264,000. The precious metal has seen a steady rise throughout the year, increasing by over Rs. 40,000 since January.
Internationally, spot gold was up by 0.2%, priced at $2,515.59 per ounce, with US gold futures remaining steady at $2,543.40.
