Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a record high on Friday, with 24-karat gold selling at Rs265,900 per tola, an increase of Rs2,900.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs2,486, bringing it to Rs227,966.
This surge follows a brief decline in the previous session, driven by rising international market rates.
Silver prices also saw an uptick, with a Rs50 increase per tola, bringing the new price to Rs2,950.
In August, gold per tola peaked at Rs263,700, and by September 11, it reached Rs264,000, before setting a new high.
