Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new all-time high on Thursday, driven by rising global rates.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs800 per tola, reaching Rs268,500. Similarly, the 10-gram rate climbed by Rs685 to Rs230,195.
In the international market, gold rose by $8, reaching $2,950 per ounce.
Silver prices remained stable, with per tola priced at Rs2,950 and 10 grams at Rs2,529.14.
Earlier this week, gold had briefly declined by Rs300, settling at Rs267,700 per tola. The 10-gram rate also dropped by Rs257, closing at Rs229,510.
