KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan reached new record highs on Wednesday, driven by a continued upward trend in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs2,500, setting a new record at Rs275,500. The price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs2,144, closing at Rs236,197.
In the international market, gold saw a significant rise, with prices increasing by $25 per ounce, reaching $2,635.
Silver also experienced gains in the local market, as per tola silver prices increased by Rs100, reaching Rs3,050. The price of 10-gram silver rose by Rs85.74, closing at Rs2,614.88.
A day earlier, the price of gold per tola had increased by Rs1,100, reaching Rs273,000, with 10-gram gold rising by Rs973 to settle at Rs234,053.
